AD AWARE SE
Click on "Check for updates now" on the bottom right hand corner.
Click "connect" to start and "finish" when done.
Click the "Scan Now" button in the main menu on the left side of the main status
screen.
Click on "Full System Scan" and click "Next" to start your first scan.
After the scan is complete you will be presented with a detailed listing of the
items that were detected.
Right click the entry to open the context menu.
Click on the "Select All" option to add this content to your removal list.
Click "Next" and then "OK" in the pop-up window to confirm the removal. This will
end the program.
Please use this program at least once a week for maintenance.

SPYBOT S/D
The first time you start Spybot S/D, it will display a Wizard, a small window
helping you through the first steps.
The next page contains information on Updates.
Click on the "Updates" button and this will prompt you to install the current updates.
Click on "Install" and this will install the updates.
Next, you will need to immunize your system by using Internet Explorer to block the
installation of known spyware installers.
Click on the "Immunize" button and your system will be immunized.
You are now ready to run Spybot S/D to search for spyware.
The left side of the program has a navigation bar that can lead you to all functions
of the program.
Click on "Check for Problems" to start the scan.
After the scan is complete, you will view a list of what was detected.
Check all entries and then click on the button "Fix selected Problems".
After this, the program will end.
Please use this program at least once a week for maintenance.

NORTON ANTIVIRUS
To perform a full system scan:
1. Start Norton Antivirus.
2. In the Norton Antivirus main window, click "Scan for Viruses".
3. In the Scan for Viruses pane, click "Scan My Computer".
4. Under Actions, click "Scan". When the scan is complete, a scan summary appears.
5. When you are done reviewing the summary, click "Finished".

If a virus is found do the following:
If there are files that could not be fixed, or if you have set options so that
Norton Antivirus asks you what to do when a virus is found, the Repair Wizard opens.
If Norton Antivirus did not attempt a repair, the Repair Wizard opens in the Repair
pane. Otherwise, it opens in the Quarantine Window.

To use the Repair Wizard:
If the Repair Wizard opens in the Repair pane, uncheck any files that you don't want
Norton Antivirus to fix.
All files are checked by default. This is the recommended action.
Click "Fix".
If any files cannot be fixed or deleted, the Quarantine Window opens. All files are
checked to be added to the Quarantine by default. This is the recommended action.
In the Quarantine Window, uncheck any files that you do not want to quarantine.
Click "Quarantine". If any files could not be quarantined, the Delete pane opens.
If you do not delete the infected files, the virus remains on your computer and can
cause damage or be transmitted to others.
Uncheck any files that you do not want to delete.
Click "Delete". Once all of the files have been repaired, quarantined, or deleted,
the Summary pane of the scanner window opens.
When you are done reviewing the summary, click "Finished".
After repairing a boot virus on your hard drive, restart your computer.
Make sure you have Norton Antivirus running in your system tray on your desktop.

REMOVING TEMPORARY INTERNET FILES
Click the "Start" button on your desktop and go to Settings.
From Settings, click on "Control Panel".
In the Control Panel click on "Internet Options".
Under The Temporary Internet Files section, click on "Settings".
Click on "View Files".
At the top of the screen click on "Edit" and click on "Select All".
All of the files should be highlighted.
Press your "Delete" key on your keyboard.
Confirm delete by clicking on "Yes".
After deleting, go back to The Temporary Internet Files section.
Click on "Settings" again and adjust the amount of disk space to use to
50 MB.
You should delete your Temporary Internet Files at least every two weeks.

WINDOWS UPDATES
Open Internet Explorer.
Click on "Tools" from the toolbar.
Click on "Windows Updates".
Click on "Express Install".
Windows will check for available updates.
Click on the updates to begin installation.
Make sure you install the high priority updates when available.
You should check for Windows Updates once a week.
